A Doubtful Sound

Originals Band from Christchurch
Blues-Rock Grunge Stoner Metal Queens of the stone age Red Fang Foo Fighters
7 YEARS VETERAN

Ollie & Hamish hail from NZ’s shakiest city, Christchurch. After the opportunity to link up with like-minded Bristol based musician & Producer Jake Bright arose, the boys jumped on the first flight to the UK in 2012. With a shared love of hard hitting Rock’n’Roll, they disappeared to produce some demos and recordings.

While Hamish and Ollie had been producing big rock tunes in New Zealand together for years, Jake had also been making his own tracks in the Bristol music scene before being signed to a major label in London. After a few months, the guys gelled and began performing live.

Releasing tracks online, they've quickly amassed a solid following with many drawing favorable comparisons to the Foo Fighters & Queens of the Stone Age. Receiving glowing online reviews and hitting TV and radio across the UK and NZ.

In year 3 & 4 of their time in Europe, ADS supported legendary touring band, The Subways at a sold out show. They sold out the most established underground venue, The 100 Club London. They Dominated the Bristol Music scene and continued to record and produce countless singles.

Now, back in NZ, they look to do the same and follow in the words of a famous Irishman, We're not here to take part, we're here to take over.

“Edgy, raw, & hugely impressive” The Unsigned Guide UK.

“Full of scuzzy guitars and thumping percussion the songs rattle along at a frenetic pace & ticks all the boxes” Music Reviews Unsigned.
