Frances Harrison

Frances Harrison is a musician and entertainer who has enjoyed a career rich in experiences both in New Zealand and in Europe. She studied violin in NZ and in France and learned folk guitar with the late Phil Garland. Frances also studied piano and passed a number of ABRSM exams.
Her career has included teaching, both in NZ and in French universities, sales and marketing in diverse industries, public relations in local government. The performing arts : dancing, singing, theatre, film acting, modelling, have all featured heavily throughout her life with the pinnacle being her years as a professional bellydancer. Frances is also an accomplished public speaker.
She passed her studies over a semester at ARA Music school and then decided she was better served by getting out into the real world, playing alongside experienced musicians.
She is currently a bassist specialising in rock and blues covers. Also studying jazz improvisation this year.
