Hey there all, I’m a lead vocalist looking for good musicians to jam and eventually gig U2 songs with. If that leads to a full U2 tribute band then even better or if your not into that I’m also keen on a high end covers band. I’m in my late 40s but very young at heart and easy going and chilled, so wanting to surround myself with like minded musicians, ages from around 30 on up. That means having fun and enjoying rehearsals on a regular bases with a good bunch of guys who all live in Auckland. I sing regularly with an acoustic guitarist and also a full six piece sometime seven piece band playing covers, who’s main focus is to practice their instruments but not to gig. I would like to gig at least once a month eventually, if possible. Hoping to team up with musicians more experience and better than me to push me to lift my game, but that would also mean patient and willing to help each other work through the music.
I’m a bit of a U2 and Bono fan vocally so I already have a few U2 songs ready to go vocally.
But just to give an idea of the songs I’m singing these days for the covers band for example are;
Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore, April Sun In Cuba by Dragon, Kryptonite by Three Doors Down, Angle of Harlem by U2, All I want Is you by U2, ONE by U2, Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day, Times Like These by Foo Fighters. Just to name a few, and the list goes on.
