El Guitarrista

An advanced guitar player based in AKL, by the age of twelve, I could play through the most difficult of Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert songs with ease (live), and quickly got out of that phase to work on music, not exercises. I am a rock guitarist at heart, but I listen to all styles of music.
My mood varies from Slipknot and Meshuggah to Björk, Rush, Stevie Wonder and back to Led Z and Sabbath and literally everything in between from the classics to the avant garde. (music of all complexities). I can switch between Rock, Metal, Fusion, Jazz, Pop, Progressive, The Blues and Funk in a heartbeat while listening, in the mood for all of it at the same time.
I am a totally enthusiastic performer with no stage fright whatsoever, and can contribute backing vocals whenever needed. If writing skills are needed in a collaborative process, I can help as well. I do not read much music at the moment, but what I can do is learn songs very quickly just by listening (once I learned a Steve Vai song starting on a Sunday, and performed it at a competition on the Friday next week in front of 1000+ people, winning first place).
I own gear, and am very committed to getting to practice ready, on time and with a positive attitude. I am a high school student during the week, happy to play with all ages.
