You don't choose bass, bass chooses you.
I like to play bass with people, especially with tasteful drummers. I started off playing jazz, which is a bit of a rough way to start but it also gave me an appetite for challenging, fun music. I'd love to play jazz, blues, funk, rock, or Latin jazz (Bossa Nova/Samba). I don't have blazing chops but I try to be a solid bassist who's cool to play music with. And of course I'm working on those chops...

Learned some tunes for a rock cover band, so I can do that too, it turns out.
