Bass Player looking to form or join a rock band

I have recently moved up to Wellington for university and am looking to find people to jam (and hopefully gig) with.
Would love to make originals, however some covers would be great too, anything to get me playing.
Influences of mine include: Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Stone Roses, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Deftones, etc.
I am currently in student accomodation so practise space is not my strong suit unfortunately.
