I played in my first Band in 1966,aged early seventies now.So I have been around.I can read and write Music. I do not want this to sound like a boastfest ,but I have spent a considerable amount of time and effort during my lifetime playing.When I was younger, I found that I could play a few instruments,so I worked to perfect this,so I could get freelance work .I have played:
Solo Piano,Big Band ( Bass ),Hard Rock ( Bass /vocals ),Jazz Trio ( Drums ),Wedding Bands ( Drums ) Zydeco Trio ( Drums ), Covers Bands ( Bass or Drums ) Touring '80's Band ( Bass ), Orchestra Pit Work ( Percussion), Operatic Societies (Lead Guitar) , Classic Hits Duo ( Bass ), etc.
I stopped for a while,but now I am restarting my One Man Blues Band act.
I am looking for playing work anywhere in New Zealand.Ideally it would be regular and reasonably paid,so I could afford to travel.
I have full equipment,Fender Stratocaster, Rickenbacker 4001 Bass, Marshall Stack and Amplifiers,JBL three way sound-system,all mikes,stands,etc,full Pearl drumkit,also antique style keys,a Yamaha CP 70B Electric Piano ,and 2 Hammond L100 organs I am building into one good unit, plus Leslie Cabinet.
My Favorite guitar player is Rory Gallagher.I lean towards classic Hard Rock and Blues,but if the pay is good, would consider any genre.
