Originals & Covers Musician from Alexandra
9 YEARS VETERAN

I started to sing at the early age of 6 years old, both in a choir and solo.
I joined my first rock band Tac Sound at the age of 15 in high school. I was the singer also of another rock band Crazy Slugs and started to sing with my good friend, the pianist Giorgio Mattei, pianobar and karaoke. I performed in bars, restaurants, hotels, ceremonies (weddings, birthdays and other parties). I had some singing lessons for one year, experimenting in bossa nova and jazz music. I also took part of an original project with some friends of mine, Scudieri dello Zodiaco, playing cover songs of cartoons with costumes.
As I moved to London after a singing-break I decided it was time to get back on track exploring some other genres. I joined Baron Funkenhausen, a soul-funk band with 13 members. I also joined the blues-rock band Revived Spirit and the gospel choir United Gospel Harmony, gaining different influences. I came up with new ideas and a lot of energy. That's the time I composed my first two songs, I cinque sensi and Hotel Ballad.
When I moved to Australia I decided to keep up with music in my spare time and tried acoustic duos with a varied setlist including jazz, blues, bossa nova, funky, soul, reggae and soft rock. I collaborated with a few guitarists in the OZ land, including Thomas Jones, Martin Bonett and Karl Cossar. With each of them I focused on different styles, getting more inspired to write more songs, Looking for some signs and Colours. I performed in a few pubs around Melbourne and took part in the Open Mic Festival and the Mornington Jazz Festival and did a lot of busking along the river in Southbank. I worked for the company Captain Cook Cruisesin Perth as dekhand and as entertainer. Getting to New Zealand soon and trying to find a good guitarist I can collaborate with to share new experiences and lots of good music!
