Hey, my name is Stephen (artist name G3M1NI). I began learning to play the guitar at age 11 and it ignited a passion for songwriting and creating music that has been a constant in my life for nearly 30 years. I played gigs, cover bands, lots of jam sessions throughout my teens and early twenties, never pursuing or taking it seriously. At 29 I purchased an Akai MPK keyboard and tried to learn Ableton live with limited success. I taught myself to play the bass guitar and drums/percussion with a pad. I kept writing music but never released it.
In 2023 I took an interest in using DAW's to produce music and decided to commit to learning. Over the next year I trialed everything from Soundtrap to Audacity, from Cakewalk to FL Studio, from Ableton Live, from Cubase to Presonus, from Bitwig to Waveform in search of the right DAW. Only to settle on Reaper as my main DAW's (can't afford Ableton). I have learnt the basics of mixing, routing, staging, fading, applying plug-in FX's, and even creating my own plug-in chains. I also am gathering more knowledge on mastering and sound design/engineering. It's challenging but I love it and slowly I am improving and producing with some consistency while developing an greater understanding of music theory. The way I see it, I can only improve. I would love to collaborate and ghost or full produce music with some local artists, DM me. I generally work and produce EDM, trance, hard house, D'n'B, synthwave, melodic future bass, trap, hip-hop & phonk genres but I can work with bands also.
