The Thermaleles

Quirky quintet of aged and not so aged rockers from the sulphurous depths of Rotorua; now tickled by the plucky little instrument made famous in Hawaii in the 20’s and then not so famous by Tiny Tim in 60s USA.
Our ukulele heroes are New Zealand's own The Nukes and we love a bit of Hot Club Sandwich.
Together for 14 years, with a revolving door policy for bass players. Whittled down to a tight five from an original noisy nine, we enjoy poking a bit of stick at the human condition so obvious at our 'time of life'.
Our originals flow from the disturbed mind of resident insomniac, Des, tickled into submission by the rest of us. We do the odd bit of navel gazing and can be persuaded to whip out an old kiwi classic or two in 3, or even 4 part harmony!
Our style? Well, it's a little pop, a little rock a little country and a little blue, I guess you could call it Kiwi Indie – if not we’d love you to let us know what to call it!
