I am a 36yr old drummer with 25+yrs of experience playing the drums for myself & fun as well as in bands. I am currently in a rock covers band with friends where we cover songs by Tool, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, Foo Fighters, etc.
If you added Metallica, Deep Purple, the odd Hip Hop group like Run-DMC, and individual drummers like Steve Gadd or Jeff Porcaro to the mix, then that pretty much covered the main musical and drumming influences I grew up with.
