Country Covers Band: More Musicians Wanted (Bass, Guitar, etc.)

We are a new country covers band in the Wellington area, currently with three members. Rehearsals have gotten underway in recent weeks with work beginning on new cover songs, but we are looking to add more musicians to the group.

If you have a passion for country music, and you're keen to get involved in a country music project like this, this could be a great fit for you.

So far, we have vocalists and some rhythm roles filled, but there are still more opportunities for musicians with the right interests and specialties.

Do you have any of these skills (at an intermediate or higher level)?
- Bass Guitar
- Guitar (ideally someone who can can share rhythm and lead roles with another guitar player in the band, can play acoustic and electric guitar, and is interested in country guitar playing styles and sounds)

Some other nice to haves:
- Piano/Keyboard
- Steel/Pedal-Steel Guitar
- Fiddle

Our goal is to build up a good repertoire of country hits and classics from the late 1960s to the 2020s and get some professional work as a live band. We want to have a full band sound and to do energetic songs, a few lower-key ballads, and enough range of material to cater to different age groups and tastes.

There is a growing market for quality live country music in the New Zealand music scene. (And about time.)

This band would be suitable for people in areas like Wellington city, Porirua, Wairarapa, Hutt Valley, Kapiti or Horowhenua and who are willing to do some travel (e.g. for rehearsals, and in future, gigs — country music festivals, music venues, pubs, clubs and other events).
