Drummer looking for a new band

Hey I’m a 21 year old drummer from Auckland and looking to either start or join another band. I’ve been playing drums for 11 years now and have played in one band before (Video Nasty, punk rock/shoegaze band). Mostly interested in originals, but happy to do covers now and then.

I have really been getting into country music over the past two years and I am super keen to do a country project, especially Cowpunk (my favourite genre). Cowpunk is an element of honky tonk and garage rock. Basically combining traditional country (Hank Williams) with punk rock (Ramones). My favourite country bands are Jenny Don’t And The Spurs, The Johnnys and Orville Peck. Also really into alt-country like Wednesday/MJ Lenderman and Pavement.

My drum style is influenced by the likes of Phil Rudd (I grew up listening to AC/DC), Charlie Watts. But I am learning how to play country drum beats. I am a reliable person and have my own gear and transport. I am also keen on touring NZ regularly. It gets boring playing Auckland all the time.
