Musicans Wanted For Country Covers Band

Wellington-based guitar player and singer looking to start a band focused on country hits from the last six decades (1970s-2020s), with the purpose of playing live.

I'm interested in doing a mixture of danceable songs and lower key ballads.

I'd be happy for everyone in the band taking turns to help pick songs for the repertoire (i.e. songs that have been country hits/classics).

While I like and play other genres of music, my goal with this project is just to focus on popular country music from the last six decades.

I'm looking for people that don't just play instruments, but are also keen to actively listen to music (this will be essential for building the repertoire).
If you have any of the following skills (at an intermediate or higher ability level), please get in touch:

- Singing (lead and/or harmony vocals on some songs - both male and female voices would be great).
- Drums
- Bass
- Guitar (ideally acoustic and electric)
- Piano/Keyboard
- Steel/Pedal-Steel Guitar
- Fiddle

(The last three are nice to haves, but I'm looking at least for a guitar player, a bass player and a drummer in order to get started).

I'm Wellington based, so this project would be suitable for people in either Wellington, Porirua, Wairarapa, Hutt Valley, Kapiti or Horowhenua and who are willing to do some travel within reason (e.g. for practices, and in future, gigs — country music festivals, venues, clubs and other events).
