The much-anticipated Ding Dong Lounge Band Competition is back, offering emerging bands in Auckland a golden opportunity to shine. Entries are open until Friday, 21 June, at 5 PM, but hurry – spots are limited, with only a few spots left in the first two heats on Saturday, 29 June, and Saturday, 6 July.
Founded by Andrew Treeby, the competition has become a cornerstone event in Auckland’s music scene. “This competition is more than just a chance to win prizes,” says Treeby. “It’s a platform for bands to come together, share their music, and inspire each other.”

This year’s competition offers a fantastic array of prizes designed to set winners up for success:
Professional Studio Time: Record a single with Dave Rhodes Productions, ensuring top-quality sound for your music.
Music Video Production: Off The Ground will produce a professional music video to complement your single.
Single and Poster Artwork Design: Get custom poster artwork by Barny Bewick of Indium Design to promote your band.
Promotion and Publicity: Receive promotion and publicity support from ACT UP Entertainment and the Ding Dong Lounge marketing team, helping your music reach a wider audience.
