Originals & Covers Musician from Waikato
10 YEARS VETERAN BANDS & GIGS

In order:
- First and foremost I'm a guitarist, with a fair bit of experience playing both acoustic and electric. (Though not usually at the same time.) Big fan of digital, but also love my half stack and pedals too.
- Secondly, I'm a passable vocalist. Mostly borne from necessity as a SMWG or when no one else has been willing to take the mic, I nonetheless love singing and continue to work on improving my vocals. Been the lead singer in a couple of bands, have sung back up in other bands. More than happy to just shut up and play, lol.
- Thirdly, at a stretch I'm okay on bass if needs be. Have been bassist in a couple of bands, and I have to admit I reckon I play bass a lot better than many bassists I've come across. But that's far from a brag, more an indictment on how hard it is to find good bass players.

Got decent enough gear for all the above - guitars, amps, mic, etc. Got transport. Got my own PA.

I've got quite a wide and varied taste in music, so generally speaking I'm up to having a crack at most styles. And indeed I have played, and continue to play, a wide range of stuff. Prefer to play the interesting and less typical stuff usually, b-sides as opposed to a-sides. Would prefer to do originals, but I'm not against doing covers.
What I DON'T want to play is typical pub music, the sort of set lists of songs that all too many cover bands panhandle to the ad nauseam degree. It's lazy, boring, and REALLY-NOT-FUN, which pretty much defeats the purpose of playing music imo.
Am otherwise open to considering whatever's on offer.
And pretty much always keen for a jam.

I'm located in Morrinsville.
