Metal band Medjai looking for a lead guitarist Christchurch

Hey guys and gals and everyone in between,

Medjai is a metal band originally founded in Egypt in 2005. It was one of the most persistent acts in the Egyptian metal scene until a few years ago when I moved to New Zealand. It is now being reformed in Christchurch New Zealand with a bunch of friendly and serious musos. At the moment, we need a lead guitarist to join us. We have a drummer, a bassist, and a rhythm guitarist.

A few things to consider before contacting me:

1- Two of us are adults with families and very limited time. It is important for us to make the jams count and to move forward with our plans. Please do not contact me if you are not able to commit to practices at your home and at our jam space (at the moment we jam on Wednesdays around Riccarton area from about 3:00 to 5:00 PM).

2- You need to have your own gear (at least a reasonably adequate guitar and standard guitar effects for metal music).

3- You will be expected to play lead. You do not need to be a John Petrucci but you should be comfortable with improvising solos on our songs.

4- Not to be a dick, but if you have an alcohol or drug problem there will be no way for us to work together.

5- People from all genders, religions, no religions, races, right-wing, left-wing, or whatever are welcome. So as long as you are a decent person and compassionate with an open mind, you have a place with us.

We want to raise some serious Egyptian sand storms here in New Zealand, so join us and become a Medjai.
