A little bit about where I've come from musically and where I'm hoping to head.

I started playing classical piano when I was 5 years old due to my mother being a piano teacher. After 10 years of that, I realised I was never going to be better than her and there was not much room (if any) for improvisation with the classical music discipline. I picked up a guitar at 16 and have been playing on and off ever since (20+ yrs). Lately I played in a band in Palmerston North for 5 years with mainly covers and the occasional original song which got us into a recording studio after a Battle of the Bands. I dabble with drums, bass guitar and keyboards but guitar is primarily my instrument of choice.

A recent move to Auckland for a job with shift work has made full on commitments to a band harder than previously. So for the future....I'm looking to start off small with something like project work online or in person with a singer and build from there. If something is successful out of that, I'm ultimately aiming for a band situation. I have contacts who play drums, bass, keyboard, guitar but no singer(s).

I came from a band with a female singer and prefer the dynamics that offered but for any singers out there looking for something similar or just keen to partake in a singing project on the side of what ever you're doing......drop me a line.
