Lost By Design Records is based in Wellington, New Zealand. Established in 2016 by Caleb Murphy, we are a record label that gives our artists complete and irrevocable control of their art.


We support the artistic freedom of every artist to create the music they love. We prioritise passion and authenticity over profit. We are not interested in making our artists fit a mainstream musical mould, instead we support our artists as they create cutting edge music that pushes the conventional musical boundaries to redefine the future of music.


The music industry is now in a transitional phase from being dominated by massive record labels that exploit artists to now being dominated by the independent artists that have an understanding of the business and marketing. At Lost By Design Records, we recognise this and we give our artists the advice and the platforms they need to succeed.
